JM Eagle in Batchelor, LA is seeking a self-motivated forklift operator who can work independently or with a team to move plastic pipe and fittings and support yard and warehouse tasks.
Responsibilities include loading materials, performing daily forklift checks, maintaining stock organization, and adhering to safety procedures while learning new tasks and participating in required training sessions.

This position calls for a person who is self-motivated and does not need constant supervision. This person should be able to work alone as well as being able to work with a group. Imagination and inventiveness are also needed to cope with constantly changing situations and people.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
One year shipping experience.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1 year experience in forklift driving.
Experience with computers and basic keyboarding skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in changing situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
