Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball in Conyers is seeking a Pipe Loader to support loading and unloading pipe, valves, and fittings outdoors. This role requires detail, reliability, and the ability to work with a team to meet daily goals.

You will operate a forklift, pallet jack, and Lull, maintain a clean work area, and accurately check shipments against packing slips. Prior outdoor work and safe forklift operation are essential.

Qualifications

• Must accurately check shipments going out
• Must have a sense of urgency throughout the day
• Must be able to communicate effectively with the team and other departments
• Prior work experience in outdoor environment preferred
• Experience with strapping flatbed trailer loads preferable
• Must be able to drive a sit-down forklift and Lull
• Must be able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Load/move/unload truck shipments of pipe, valves, fittings, etc. in a safe and efficient manner
• Organize, palletize, and move parts/pallets
• Operate pallet jack, forklift, and Lull in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain work area in a clean organized, and safe manner
• Accurately check all shipments against e-mails and/or packing slips
• Follow all procedures that are in place
• Cross-train in related areas

Our current need is for a Pipe Loader. We are looking for a person that is passionate about completing tasks and going above and beyond daily goals. This person will be very detailed and is committed to the success of the team and the company. They will be responsible for preparing and loading/unloading products with a forklift and Lull outdoors.

This person will be accurate and timely in the loading and/or unloading of pipe, valves, and fitting shipments. They must be able to communicate well within the team and with other departments. The following responsibilities are essential, but not all-inclusive.
