Job summary

Archer Western Construction is seeking a Pipe Layer for the Manatee County SWWRF Expansion in Bradenton, FL. The role involves laying, joining, wrapping and sealing pipe for water/gas mains and sanitary sewer on heavy civil projects, with use of hand and power tools and site prep as needed.

You will work with crew members, perform physical labor, and must pass a pre-employment drug screen; lifting up to 50 lbs and exposure to outdoor conditions are expected. Training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year verifiable construction experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; may work in adverse weather conditions.
• Comply with safety policies; communicate effectively with team.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; prolonged standing, bending, kneeling or sitting.

Responsibilities

• Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections for water/gas mains and sewer lines.
• Operate hand and power tools as directed by management.
