Job summary

Southland Holdings in Tampa, FL is hiring Pipe Layers & Pipe Laborers to construct sanitary sewer, utilities, pipelines, RCP storm drains and waterlines. Candidates must be able to work in all weather, stand for long periods, and pass a post-offer drug screen with E-Verify. Overtime availability and excellent attendance are required.

OSHA safety, First Aid/CPR certification, and bilingual Spanish/English are desirable. Office location: Tampa, FL 33611. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Construction experience laying sanitary sewer, utilities, pipeline, RCP storm drain and waterline.
• Must be physically capable of navigating rugged terrain.
• Must work in all weather conditions, be prepared for both extreme heat/cold.
• Must be able to work independently and maintain a schedule of work.
• Exceptional attendance record.
• Must be available to work overtime.
• Ability to stand, squat, stoop, bend, lift for extended periods of time.
• Pass post offer drug screen and E-verify all candidates.
• OSHA safety training and a current First Aid and CPR certificate (preferred).
• Ability to set up laser online and grade (preferred).
• Experience in large diameter ductile iron water main (preferred).
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Laying sanitary sewer, utilities, pipeline, RCP storm drain and waterline.
• Navigate rugged terrain to perform duties.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
