Job summary

Southland Holdings is seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman for a major heavy civil project in Cape Coral, FL. You will lead the field crew, oversee pipe installation, and coordinate with project leadership to ensure quality and safety.

The role requires substantial Water & Sewer Utility experience and hands-on management of large-scale field operations, with a focus on efficiency and adherence to specifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Water & Sewer Utility experience required.
• 2+ years of Utility Foreman experience required.
• Experience with large diameter storm drains, water main, dewatering, and well point systems.
• FDOT experience preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Extensive knowledge of utility work equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crew activities and improve productivity.
• Oversee installation/repair of water mains, hydrants, and sewer lines.
• Perform testing on installed systems and ensure quality and safety standards.
• Complete daily reports with crew hours, equipment usage, and production data.
• Coordinate with Project Superintendent and Project Managers; participate in safety trainings.

Job description

A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Pipe Foreman for our large heavy civil project located in Cape Coral** , FL**.

Responsibilities:

• Foreman will be expected to run main line machine for the installation of a pipe.
• Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of field crew employees. Work with field employees to increase productivity
• Oversees, instructs, and participates in the installation and repair of water mains, fire hydrants, sanitary sewer lines, etc.
• Perform any required testing for installed systems
• Responsible for crew performance in meeting quality and safety standards
• Fill out daily reports including crew member’s hours , equipment hours, appropriate cost codes, and production quantities
• Communicate effectively with Project Superintendent and Project Managers
• Participate in safety‑related training programs to increase skill set and knowledge base.
• Perform jobsite quality control checks.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of Water & Sewer Utility experience
• At least 2 years of Utility Foreman experience
• Experience in large diameter storm drains, water main, dewatering, well point system.
• FDOT experience preferred but not required
• Valid Driver’s License
• Extensive knowledge of the tools and equipment involved in utility work – such as excavators, trench boxes, pumps, backhoes, bobcats, loaders, etc.
• Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and specs
• Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate crew members’ work

Certifications:

• OSHA Safety Course Certification (30 hour)
• CPR Certification
