Job summary

S&B USA Construction in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking skilled Pipe Layers to install storm sewers, gas utilities, and water mains on mid-Atlantic projects. You will support Foremen and craft workers, work outdoors, and contribute to safety, quality, and schedule on every project.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of sitework experience laying pipe on a construction site.
• Able to work outside in the elements.
• Ability to concentrate on tasks and follow procedures.
• Stand or walk for long periods and carry tools.

Responsibilities

• Dig, spread and level dirt, sand and gravel.
• Install, remove, and maintain erosion control products.
• Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies.
• Position, cut and fuse pipe; connect pipe pieces.
• Ensure correct depth using laser or grade stakes and communicate with the operator.
• Inspect pipe fittings for defects and cleanliness.
• Load, transport and unload tools and supplies.
• Operate manual material handling equipment when needed.
• Assist in minor maintenance and cleaning activities.
