Job summary

A leading solutions provider in Hanahan, SC seeks a Piping Foreman to supervise the layout and installation of piping systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in this field and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Responsibilities include directing work activities, reading blueprints, and supporting project management. A High School diploma and valid driver's license are required, as well as the ability to pass a background check and drug test. Competitive compensation and benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the assembly and installation of various sizes and types of piping.
• Direct others on work activities and organize scheduling of resources.
• Support the Superintendent and Project Manager.
• Resolve simple job-related issues and escalate to superintendent or PM.
• Work with a variety of tools, large machines and specialty equipment.
• Assist Superintendent and Project Manager to complete projects on time.
• Deliver high quality and productive work with minimal reminders.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Supervise the lay out, assembly, and installation of various sizes and types of piping.
• Direct others on work activities and organize scheduling of resources.
• Read blue prints and equipment packaging lists for assembly.
• Solve simple job related problems and bring solutions to the superintendent or project manager.
• Ability to work with a variety of tools, large machines and specialty equipment.
• Support the Superintendent and Project Manager to complete the project in a timely manner.
• Provide the best quality and productive work without contact reminder.
• Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).
• Material Handling:? lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs. frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing the position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).?
• Required Education: High School Graduate or equivalent, work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• Must successfully pass a background check & drug test.

Work Environment

Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places.
