Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a Pipe Fitter Helper to assist with laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems for industrial production and processing.

You will follow blueprints, select fittings, and work with hydraulic and pneumatic components on site. The role requires reading and following detailed instructions, basic math, physical stamina, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifikationen

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly.
• Basic math skills to solve geometric problems.
• Must be at least 18 years old and capable of passing tests.

Aufgaben

• Select pipe types and sizing according to specifications.
• Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and interference.
• Cut pipe using saws, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe-cutting machine.
• Thread pipe using pipe-threading machine.
• Bend pipe using pipe-bending tools and pipe-bending machine.
• Assemble and install pipes with joints using multiple joining methods.
• Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps and hangers using hand and power tools.
• Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components or machines and equipment.
• Install and maintain compressors, pumps, meters, and piping with controls.
• Increase pressure in pipe system and test the system.
• May weld pipe supports to structural steel members.
• May observe production machines for malfunctions.
• May operate machinery to verify repair.
• Must comply with safety and project rules.
• Other duties may be assigned.
