Job summary

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of pipe fitting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience performing related services in a government facility.
• Thorough understanding of safety guidelines and building codes.
• Ability to lift heavy materials, climb scaffolding, and work in cramped or high environments.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Must be able to pass a government background check.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems at the customer site in Beltsville, MD.
• Review design specifications and blueprints to determine piping layouts.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to fit precise dimensions.
• Assemble and secure pipe systems using brackets, clamps, hangers, and welding equipment.
• Connect pipes using welding, soldering, brazing, fusing, or cementing joints.
• Run pressure tests and inspections to check for leaks and code compliance.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair or replace damaged pipes, valves, and supports.
