Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the shipyard industry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on pipeline installation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards governing piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret and translate complex blueprints and technical drawings to plan pipe layout and installation sequences within piping systems.
• Cut, bend, and thread pipes using various hand and power tools like pipe cutters, bending machines, and threading machines to achieve precise dimensions.
• Ripout, repair, target, layout, fabricate, install and test marine piping systems onboard ships in various stages of repair and modernization.
• Position and install pipes within designated locations on the ship, ensuring proper alignment and support structures are in place.
• Utilize basic math skills to calculate measurements and material requirements accurately.
• Collaborate with other trades on site to ensure seamless project execution.
