Job summary

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Approximately three years of experience in the pipe fabrication field.
• Experience reviewing pipe spool drawings preferred.
• Familiarity with ASTM, ASME, and PFI codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Review project scope, specifications, isometric drawings, BOMs before checking.
• Examine spool drawings against client drawings, line information, and fabrication practices.
• Verify dimensions, fittings, flange orientation, weld IDs, material info, quantities.
• Identify errors or constructability concerns that could delay fabrication.
• Document and communicate corrections to drafters.
• Review corrected drawings and confirm issues are resolved before release.
• Follow department procedures and apply project and industry requirements.
• Use knowledge of pipe fabrication, NDE, heat treatment, coating/paint, and material traceability.
• Communicate effectively and work with drafters and project personnel to meet schedules.
