Job summary

Branch Civil in Glen Allen, Virginia is seeking an experienced Pipe Crew Excavator Operator who is safety‑minded to join our growing team. You will operate a power shovel and assist in excavation for pipe installations, following grades and site plans.

Duties include grading to line, equipment adjustments, routine maintenance, and occasional minor repairs. Candidates should have 1–3 years of pipe crew excavator experience and working knowledge of OSHA regulations; DOT experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction techniques.
• 1 to 3 years of pipe crew excavator operating experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• DOT experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Grades to line and grade.
• May service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Can operate on track or rubber tired and also included under this title will be gradall or wrist-o-twist type equipment.
• May complete minor repairs.
• Routine cleaning of equipment.
