Job summary

GEICO in Melville, NY is seeking a Personal Injury Claims Examiner to guide policyholders through medical aspects of auto insurance claims and provide world‑class service. You will investigate medical necessity, determine casualty, evaluate claim validity, and monitor case files throughout treatment.

Starting salary ranges from $61,500 to $95,325, with benefits from day one, including health, PTO, 401(k) matching, and tuition assistance. Availability Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Compensation & Incentives

Starting Salary: $61,500.00 - $95,325.00

What We're Looking For

• Experience & Qualifications: Customer-facing Claims experience preferred.


• Experience in high-volume call centers with KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and measurable goals preferred.


• Active Adjusters license preferred (training and exam fees provided).


• High School Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred.


• Core Skills: Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem‑solving, and empathy skills.


• Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and multitask across platforms.


• Availability: Available to work Monday -Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.

Annual Salary $61,500.00 - $95,325.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
