Job summary

Flagship Pioneering Co-Op Program in Cambridge, MA seeks a builder in TechOps. You’ll own projects end to end, developing dashboards and AI-powered workflows, with freedom to choose tools and approaches.

You’ll work across portfolio and program management, finance, contracts, and regulatory teams. The role is for current Northeastern Co-Op students, January 2027 to June 2027, full-time (40 hours/week) with five in-office days.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience building applications—not just coursework, but ideally projects you can show us (GitHub repos, deployed apps, and side projects all count)
• Familiarity with at least some of: React/JavaScript, Python, HTML/CSS, SQL, or similar
• Experience with or strong interest in AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Vercel, Claude Code, GitHub, Copilot, ReplitAgent, etc.)
• Comfort working with ambiguity, you’ll often get a problem, not a spec
• Ability to work on-site in Cambridge, MA

• You’ll work across nearly every function in TechOps; process and analytical development, portfolio & program management, finance, contracts, and regulatory building tools that make these teams faster and smarter.
• Build and iterate on React-based dashboards and internal web apps that track drug development portfolios, resource forecasting, and program milestones
• Create AI-powered workflows to automate document generation, data extraction, and reporting
• Connect data across systems into unified, usable tools
• Prototype new approaches, pitch it and build it

About the Role

We’re looking for a builder. Someone who sees a messy spreadsheet, a clunky workflow, ortediousmanualtasksand thinks:“I could fix that”.You’ll join the TechnicalOperationsteam at Pioneering Medicines and usethe latesttools like Claude Code,Vercel,Zapier,andmoreto build real applications;dashboards, automation tools, data pipelines, AI-powered workflows,that our teamusesevery day to develop medicines.

This isn’t a “shadow someone and take notes” co-op. You’ll own projects end to end,launchthings people rely on, have the freedom to pick the tools and approaches that make sense, and have access tobest-in-classtools &expertise. If you’ve been building side projects, hacking on AI tools, or just love the feeling of making something that works,this is your chance to do it at a company developing 20+ drug programs acrossmultiple modalities and diseases areas.

What You’ll Actually Do

You’ll work across nearly every function in TechOps;process and analytical development,portfolio & program management,finance, contracts,andregulatory building tools that make these teams faster and smarter. Some examples of what’s on the table:

• Build and iterate on React-based dashboards and internal web apps that track drug development portfolios, resource forecasting, and program milestones
• Create AI-powered workflows to automate document generation, data extraction, and reporting
• Connect data across systems (Smartsheet, SharePoint,Benchling, and others) into unified, usable tools
• Prototype new approaches,if you find a better way to solve a problem, pitch it and build it
• Work directly with senior leaders across CMC functions to understand their pain points and turn them into working software

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing a graduate or undergraduatedegree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience building applications-not just coursework, butideallyprojects you can show us (GitHub repos, deployed apps,andside projects all count)
• Familiarity with at least some of: React/JavaScript, Python, HTML/CSS, SQL, or similar

Bonus Points

• You’ve contributed to open-source projects or have a portfolio/blog showing your work
