Job summary

UIC Arctic Response Services, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Computational Electromagnetics Research Scientist & Programmer to contribute to advanced modeling and simulation for the Department of War. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate or Master’s in a STEM field and at least three years of experience. Responsibilities include algorithm development, software lifecycle participation, and stakeholder collaboration. This position offers a salary between $150,000 and $160,000 and requires U.S. citizenship for security clearance.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate or Master of Science degree in a STEM field, preferably related to Computational Electromagnetics, Physics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of three years of relevant professional or academic experience in Computational Electromagnetics or related fields.
• Demonstrated proficiency in C++, Matlab, Python, Fortran or similar programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop novel CEM algorithms to advance Department of War modeling and simulation capabilities.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle of production-quality CEM simulation software.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical presentations.
