Qualifications

• PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree is required.
• Research experience in biomedical science including molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, and/or cell biology.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform laboratory experiments to advance independent research projects (35%).
• Communicate results orally and in writing within lab, MUSC, and to external scientists; contribute to publications and abstracts (30%).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date laboratory records (15%).
• Assist with laboratory maintenance and training of other personnel (15%).
• Prepare applications to internal or external sources of fellowship support (5%).
