Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking two Ping Directory Lead SMEs for a 6+ month engagement in Exton, PA or Charlotte, NC. This hybrid role combines senior technical leadership with hands-on engineering to modernize and migrate an enterprise identity directory platform including Ping Directory, PingDirectoryProxy, and PingDataSync.

Qualifications

• Extensive enterprise experience with Ping Directory, PingDirectoryProxy, and PingDataSync.
• Deep understanding of LDAP/LDAPS, schema design, high availability, and replication.
• Proven track record leading large-scale Active Directory or enterprise LDAP migrations.
• Hands-on automation experience with Terraform, Git, CI/CD, and scripting (Python/PowerShell/Shell).
• Strong Linux administration, AWS/cloud experience, and IAM security integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Ping Directory, PingDirectoryProxy, and PingDataSync environments.
• Develop schemas, indexes, replication, synchronization, access controls, and password policies.
• Lead AD migration initiatives, data mapping, coexistence, cutover, and rollback planning.
• Automate configurations using Terraform, Git, and CI/CD across AWS and Kubernetes.
• Drive performance tuning, DR testing, least_privilege security, certificate management, and SIEM integration.
• Provide Tier-3 incident leadership, RCA, patching, upgrades, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Duration: 6 Months+

Pay : $75-85/hr

We are seeking two Ping Directory Lead SMEs to provide senior technical leadership and hands‑on engineering expertise for an enterprise‑scale identity directory platform. You will own the technical strategy, architecture, security, and lifecycle while driving modernization and Active Directory migrations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture: Design, deploy, and manage Ping Directory, PingDirectoryProxy, and PingDataSync environments.
• Core Administration: Develop schemas, indexes, replication, synchronization, access controls, and password policies.
• Modernization: Lead AD migration initiatives, data mapping, coexistence, cutover, and rollback planning.
• Automation & Cloud: Automate configurations using Terraform, Git, and CI/CD across AWS and Kubernetes environments.
• Resiliency & Security: Drive performance tuning, DR testing, least‑privilege security, certificate management, and SIEM integration.
• Production Support: Provide Tier‑3 incident leadership, RCA, patching, upgrades, and participate in an on‑call rotation.
