Job summary

General Mills Inc. is seeking a Pilot Plant Technologist to support the cereal platform within a 24/7 Pilot Plant environment.

The role operates on a 37.5-hour week across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with potential for shift flexibility and overtime to meet business needs. The position offers competitive pay ($50,000–$54,000) and eligibility for an annual incentive bonus based on performance and company results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Capable of performing well with limited supervision, both individually and in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform well in a mechanical and technical environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Ability to gain powered pallet jack certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead with Safety, helping to foster and maintain a culture that values Employee & Consumer Safety.
• Follow GMPs and all other food safety practices and procedures, including the completion of required documentation.
• Safely assemble, operate, disassemble, and clean equipment.
• Accurately and efficiently execute customer Order Assembly requests – weighing, labeling, packaging, and delivering.
• Accurately manage ingredient inventory via the onsite Warehouse Management System.
• Provide outstanding internal and external customer service.
• Proactively initiate equipment and system repairs to ensure proper function is maintained.
• Learn and apply Continuous Improvement tools as a routine part of your work.
• Consistently lift and manipulate 55 lbs safely and frequently over an 8-hour period.
