Position: Pilot Plant Operator

We seek a full-time, entry-level PILOT PLANT OPERATOR. Responsibilities include monitoring instruments, adjusting valves and gauges, and interpreting chemical reactions while following safety and standard procedures to ensure efficient, safe production.

Daily Responsibilities

1. Operate process equipment such as reaction systems, distillation units, filters, reactors, pumps, and centrifuges according to procedures.
2. Load and unload raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
3. Set up and adjust control devices.
4. Monitor reactions, record changes in properties and composition.
5. Adjust valves and controls to maintain system parameters.
6. Maintain detailed work records.
7. Communicate with team members and interface professionally with customers.
8. Support other production activities as needed.

Work Environment & Safety

The role involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, toxic and flammable materials, extreme temperatures, and other environmental hazards. Proper PPE, including fit-tested respirators, is required. The ability to lift up to 55 pounds is necessary, with assistance for heavier loads. Vision requirements include close, distance, and focus adjustment.

Schedule & Requirements

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with possible adjustments, overtime, and call-ins. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of relevant manufacturing experience or a background in chemical engineering or chemical processing.
