PILOT PLANT OPERATOR OPPORTUNITY:
We’re looking for a full-time entry-level PILOT PLANT OPERATOR. The role of the PILOT PLANT OPERATOR has the responsibility for monitoring instruments, adjusting valves and gauges, and interpreting chemical reactions while following all standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Some daily duties for the pilot plant operator are:
The PILOT PLANT OPERATOR may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, and to toxic (including high and low pH) and/or flammable materials. The PILOT PLANT OPERATOR may also be exposed to extreme temperatures within the working environment, including outside weather conditions along with wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; potential fumes or airborne particulates; potential risk of electrical shock; and vibration.
The PILOT PLANT OPERATOR must understand the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and understand that certain procedures will require the use of enhanced personal protective equipment such as a fit tested, full-face respirator.
The PILOT PLANT OPERATOR must lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and lift and/or move greater than 55 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Note: days & hours may adjust at times according to business demands. Also overtime and call in hours may be required on occasion.
The PILOT PLANT OPERATOR is required to have a high school diploma or GED and have one year of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent with a preferred education in chemical engineering or chemical processing and experience in the chemical industry.
