The Role

The Pilot Plant Manager will oversee the Pilot Plant operations and personnel, ensuring quality manufacturing of new products, driving continuous improvement, and supporting employee development. They will facilitate global equipment alignment and manage technology transfers to worldwide affiliates.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure all operations are conducted safely and correctly.
  2. Oversee ongoing production to follow all Operating and Quality protocols.
  3. Optimize material selection processes for customer/product combinations.
  4. Leverage Pilot Plant equipment for developing new filtration schemes.
  5. Develop HVM-ready processes and transfer them to manufacturing.
  6. Provide technical troubleshooting support to minimize production impact.
  7. Collaborate with R&D, Applications Engineering, QC, Production, and Sales during new product launches.
  8. Engage with the Pilot Plant and R&D during slurry commercialization, ensuring best practices.
  9. Manage ECN and MOC processes for equipment changes and improvements.
Requirements
  1. BSc in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years in automation, chemical, or semiconductor manufacturing.
  2. 1-3 years of supervisory/management experience.
  3. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP and LIMS is a plus.
  4. Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical systems.
  5. Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset.
  6. Language skills in Mandarin, Korean, or Japanese are advantageous.
