Job summary

General Mills, Inc. is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for the JFB Technical Center on the 1st shift (6AM-2PM, Mon-Fri).

The role provides electrical, controls, instrumentation, and basic mechanical support to our food processing equipment, with emphasis on safety and reliability in a fast-paced R&D environment. You will perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, motors, and read complex wiring diagrams, while collaborating across

Qualifications

• Two-year trade school certificate in electrical program or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience installing and maintaining industrial electrical components.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E and NEC electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on process equipment across pilot plants and labs.
• Calibrate and maintain process instrumentation and control systems.
• Read wiring diagrams and PLC logic to diagnose faults and perform preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with R&D and operations to improve reliability and safety.
