Job summary

Executive Jet Management (EJM) is seeking qualified Gulfstream 700 pilots for a multi-pilot, 2-plane account based at Opa Locka, FL. The role requires formal type rating, extensive international flight experience, and compliance with EJM’s safety and service standards.

Proximity to OPF within one hour is preferred; commuting is not permitted. The PIC maintains final responsibility for safe, compliant, and efficient operation, following company SOPs and regulatory requirements, while delivering

Qualifications

  • Prior corporate/business aviation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete flight planning, performance, and weight & balance for each assignment.
  • Lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks using TPC methodology.
  • Adhere to SOPs and coordinate with company personnel; act as Grounds and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by policy.
  • Complete pre-flight tasks and verify aircraft maintenance status to ensure mission capability.
  • Monitor ground servicing items (fuel, oil, oxygen) per SOPs.
  • Provide passengers with high-quality briefings and service; meet special needs as required.
  • Use CRM and TEM to communicate clearly with crew and support personnel during all operations.

Purpose of Position

Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking qualified candidates for a Gulfstream 700 aircraft based at Opa Locka, FL (KOPF). This is a 2-plane, 10-pilot account supported by 2- dedicated Maintenance Technicians and 2-Cabin Attendants flying part 91 around 825 hours annually. Highly competitive candidates are already type rated in the G700 (G500/600 type will be considered), have extensive international flight experience, and meet EJM's flight time minimums as outlined below in the KSO section. Additionally, the successful candidate must live, or be willing to relocate, within one hour of OPF. Please note that commuting is not permitted. An established schedule/rotation is available to maintain QOL. The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds final responsibility to ensure the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant and efficient manner. The PIC complies with all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience.

Tasks And Responsibilities
Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight
  • Ensures crewing and trip assignments are compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Completes flight planning, performance and weight and balance tasks for each assignment, as required.
  • Utilizes Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
  • Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as required. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
  • Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including the maintenance status of the aircraft, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable. Records all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
  • Ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and accomplished in accordance with SOPs.
  • Completes passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation. Delivers the highest level of customer service and meet any special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged).
  • Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate with crew and support personnel clearly and in a timely manner during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivers An Exceptional Service Experience
  • Provides quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Regularly investigates and resolves service deviations.
  • Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide consistent service experience to owners and passengers. Resolves conflict and challenges in an acceptable manner.
Maintains Proficiency And Compliance
  • Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
  • Complies with company SMS program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other (KSAOs)

  • Minimum Time Requirements:
    • Total flight time: 3500 hours
    • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
