Executive Jet Management in Stratford, CT, seeks a Lead PIC or PIC for Global 6000 aircraft. This 2-pilot account operates at approximately 260 hours/year with a dedicated Maintenance Technician; potential direct hire into Lead PIC based on qualifications.

Qualified candidates are Global 6000 type rated, within two hours of BDR, and ready to uphold safety and service excellence for high-profile owners across a demanding schedule.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
• FAA Type rating in Global 6000.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
• Total flight time: 3500 hours.
• Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours.
• Pilot in Command: 2000 hours.
• PIC MEL: 500 hours.
• Instrument: 300 hours.
• Jet: 500 hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensures crewing and trip assignments are compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
• Completes flight planning, performance and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
• Utilizes Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
• Complies with SOPs and coordinates with company personnel; acts as Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
• Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including maintenance status, to ensure mission capability.
• Ensures aircraft ground servicing items are monitored and performed per SOPs.
• Delivers passenger briefings and provides high level of customer service.
• Utilizes CRM and TEM to communicate effectively during operations.
• Provides quality service to owners and passengers, identifies opportunities to enhance service and resolves deviations.
• Collaborates with crew and internal partners to ensure consistent service experience.
• Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
• Complies with the company SMS program and reports safety or non-compliance.

Purpose of Position

Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking qualified candidates for a well established Global 6000 aircraft based in Bridgeport, CT (KBDR). This is a 2-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician flying approximately 260 hours annually, part 91 and 135. Based on your qualifications and interest, there may be an opportunity to be hired directly into a Lead position, resulting in a higher base salary.

Well qualified candiates are type rated in the Global 6000 with time in type and live within a two hour radius from BDR. This is not a commutable position.

The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds final responsibility to ensure aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant and efficient manner. The PIC complies with all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight:

• Ensures crewing and trip assignments are compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
• Completes flight planning, performance and weight and balance tasks for each assignment, as required.
• Utilizes Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
• Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as required. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
• Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including the maintenance status of the aircraft, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable. Records all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
• Ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and accomplished in accordance with SOPs.
• Completes passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation. Delivers the highest level of customer service and meet any special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged).
• Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate with crew and support personnel clearly and in a timely manner during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.

Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience:

• Provides quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Regularly investigates and resolves service deviations.
• Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide consistent service experience to owners and passengers. Resolves conflict and challenges in an acceptable manner.

Maintains Proficiency and Compliance:

• Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
• Complies with company SMS program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
