Job summary

Trumbull Corporation in Arlington, VA is seeking skilled Pile Drivers for the Long Bridge South project. This heavy civil/highway construction role involves operating pile driving heads, cranes, and related equipment to drive pilings for foundations and walls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; apprenticeship program or related experience/training.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide in units of measure).
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew.
• Common sense and ability to follow written/oral instructions.
• Knowledge of and adherence to company safety policy.

Responsibilities

• Operate pile driving heads/power hammers and rigs to drive pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, and structure foundations.
• Operate cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment to lower pile driving leads into place.
• Oil and service pile driving rigs and parts.
• Move construction materials, earth, and heavy material; clear land for pile driving operations.
• Build structures per sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions; judge distance and positioning for piling leads accurately.
• Erect, climb, and work on equipment above or below ground level, from a few feet up to 100 feet.
• Comply with all safety codes and programs.
• Dig trenches and maneuver heavy construction materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or project needs.
