Job summary

BoMac Contractors, Ltd. is seeking a Pile Driver to safely operate pile driving equipment for marine and civil foundations in New Orleans, LA.

You will drive steel, concrete and timber piles for bridges, wharves, seawalls, and docks, in land and overwater environments, maintaining safety, precision, and productivity. The role requires hands‑on rigging, basic maintenance, and close collaboration with foremen, crane operators, and riggers.

Qualifications

• Constant lifting, carrying, standing, walking, stooping/crouching, reaching, grasping, and twisting.
• Frequent climbing, and kneeling.
• All aspects of vision required – acuity, depth perception, and field of vision.
• Ability to talk and hear for safety and operational communication.
• Preference given to NCCER Rigger Certification.

Responsibilities

• Rigging, lubricating, and maintaining pile driving equipment; loading/unloading gear and large cranes.
• Safely operate pile driving machinery to install steel, concrete, and timber piles.
• Set up and drive piles for foundations of bridges, jetties, seawalls, docks, and wharves.
• Assist in site preparation, including layout, alignment, and piling pre‑driving checks.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment; document issues.
• Operate in diverse conditions including overwater platforms and remote sites.
• Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents; collaborate with foremen and crane operators.
• Read blueprints, logs, and project specs to meet standards.
