Job summary

Prince seeks skilled workers for outdoor construction welding and related duties on Civil/Bridge projects. You will read blueprints, prepare welds, and ensure materials meet specs while operating welding equipment in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include calculating weld dimensions, inspecting components, maintaining tools, and forming concrete structures on-site. Candidates should be able to work long hours outdoors with safety in mind.

Qualifications

• Must understand work directions and communicate with job site supervisors and coworkers.
• At least 3–5 years of industry experience in roads, highways, and bridges.
• Outdoor work in all weather; long hours standing, kneeling, lifting and walking.

Responsibilities

• Weld to blueprints, sketches, or specifications.
• Calculate dimensions to be welded and inspect structures or materials.
• Ignite torches and monitor the welding process to avoid overheating.
• Smooth and polish all surfaces; maintain equipment and machinery.
• Build and set forms for pouring concrete.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
• Three (3) to Five (5) years or more of industry related experience is required for this position, with an emphasis on roads, highways, and bridges.
• All work is performed outdoors in all types of weather, including extreme heat. Job requires long hours of standing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, squatting and walking.
• Manual dexterity to handle and carry generators, lumber and other construction materials, forms, power tools, and hand tools.
• Maintain constant awareness of the jobsite’s various concurrent activities, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
