Job summary

Prince in Sarasota seeks a skilled welder to work on roads and bridges. You will study blueprints, calculate weld dimensions, inspect structures, ignite torches, monitor welding for overheating, and finish surfaces. Equipment maintenance and form-building for concrete are also involved.

This outdoor role requires long hours, endurance in all weather, and dexterity handling generators, lumber, forms, and tools. Apply if you are reliable and safety-conscious.

Qualifications

• Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
• Three to Five years or more of industry related experience with emphasis on roads, highways, and bridges.
• Outdoor work in all types of weather, including extreme heat; long hours of standing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, squatting and walking.
• Manual dexterity to handle generators, lumber, forms, power tools, and hand tools.
• Maintain awareness of concurrent jobsite activities and equipment movements.

• All work is performed outdoors in all types of weather, including extreme heat. Job requires long hours of standing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, squatting and walking.
• Manual dexterity to handle and carry generators, lumber and other construction materials, forms, power tools, and hand tools.
• Maintain constant awareness of the jobsite’s various concurrent activities, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
