Job summary

Greater Austin YMCA is seeking a dedicated Yoga Instructor to lead inclusive classes and promote mindfulness and holistic health within the community. You will guide participants toward physical wellbeing while upholding YMCA standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Instructor must be certified yoga teacher with recognized accreditation (e.g., Yoga Alliance).
• Minimum 200 hours of yoga teaching experience.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt instruction to diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Lead individual or group yoga classes as directed.
• Arrive 7-10 minutes before class and start on time.
• Ensure safety and maintain fitness equipment; submit maintenance requests as needed.
• Judge appropriate level for participants; adapt instruction accordingly.
• Set up and put away equipment for sessions.
• Render first aid and complete incident reports as required.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Promote YMCA mission and values to participants, staff, members, and guests.
