Job summary

South Suburban Park and Recreation District seeks a Part-Time Pilates Reformer Instructor to lead group and private reformer classes at Goodson Recreation Center. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with flexible scheduling and a pay rate of $29.40–$37.30 per hour.

The ideal candidate has Pilates Reformers training (200+ hours) and related certifications, plus First Aid certification preferred. Strong knowledge of exercise science, nutrition, and wellness will help educate participants

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with participants and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead group and private Pilates Reformer classes at Goodson Recreation Center.
• Promote fitness, educate participants, and motivate clients.
• Maintain safety and provide FIRST AID as needed (certification preferred).

Goodson Recreation Center is specifically looking to fill two classes - Wednesday Level 1 and Level 2, from 8:30-10:30am.
Our Ideal Candidate

• Will have prior experience in instruction of specific specialty.
• First Aid certification is preferred.
• Has an understanding and knowledge of exercise science, nutrition and wellness to promote fitness and educate participants.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain working relationships with employees and the public.
• Will have knowledge of the principals and practices of fitness programming.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Graduation from high school or completion of GED.
• Required for Pilates Reformer: Minimal 200 hours + comprehensive Pilates Reformer training or a Primary Group Exercise Certification and a Pilates Reformer Certification. A combination of certification and training may be considered.
• Possession of current certifications in CPR/AED required.
