Job summary

The ideal candidate holds current CPR/First Aid/AED/Oxygen certifications, YMCA instructor certification or equivalent, and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to motivate participants and foster a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Certifications must be current and kept up to date.
• Design and implement class routines per safety guidelines.
• Ability to engage and motivate members of varying fitness levels.
• Comply with YMCA policies and dress code.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare class routines meeting safety guidelines and exercise physiology practices.
• Attend staff meetings and complete required education and training.
• Record class attendance in Group Ex Pro immediately after class.
• Secure substitutes using Group Ex Pro and report if unavailable.
• Start and end classes on time with safe transitions.
• Maintain equipment and keep group exercise area neat and clean.
• Enforce group exercise guidelines and report non-compliance.
