Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Tempe, AZ seeks an experienced Pilates Instructor to support members with private and group classes, design personalized programs, and promote Pilates offerings.

You will oversee safety and equipment use, conduct initial consultations, and contribute to member education and studio upkeep. The role requires a Certified Pilates Trainer with CPR/AED, plus 1 year of personal training experience and 6 months of equipment handling across Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrel.

Qualifications

• Experience in Pilates program design.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of personal training experience.
• 6 months of adjusting body alignment and equipment (Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrel).
• Certified Pilates Trainer and CPR/AED certification required or on file.

Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional client programs to achieve goals and retention.
• Instructs private and group Pilates classes.
• Monitors clients during sessions for safe and effective use of equipment.
• Conducts fitness consultations including pre-participation screening and goal setting.
• Promotes Pilates programs, Group Fitness classes, and Personal Training to members.
• Completes administrative requirements for each client’s fitness plan.
• Maintains cleanliness of the Pilates studio.
• Keeps current on certifications and industry trends.
• Educates members on health and fitness issues.

Position Summary

Pilates Instructors are responsible for supporting all members in championing happier, and healthier lives by building and nurturing relationships. They provide a positive member experience that is educational, supporting, and upholds the integrity of the Life Time Brand.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention
• Instructs both private and group Pilates classes
• Monitors and instructs clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use the equipment
• Conducts fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening and goal setting to assess and recommend Pilates training programs
• Promotes and sells Pilates training programs and classes, Group Fitness classes and Personal Training to members
• Completes all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan
• Maintains the cleanliness of the Pilates studio
• Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
• Educates members on current health and fitness issues and trends
