Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Rochester Hills, MI is seeking a dedicated Pilates Instructor to support members by delivering engaging, safe Pilates training and building strong relationships.

You will design programs, lead private and group sessions, monitor form on Reformers and other equipment, and tailor plans for new clients. The role requires CPR/AED, and at least 1 year of personal training experience; high school diploma; ongoing certification updates.

Qualifications

• Experience in Pilates program design.
• Minimum physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• CPR and AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention.
• Instructs both private and group Pilates classes.
• Monitors and instructs clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use the equipment.
• Conducts fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening and goal setting to assess and recommend Pilates training programs.
• Promotes and sells Pilates training programs and classes, Group Fitness classes and Personal Training to members.
• Completes all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the Pilates studio.
• Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry.
• Educates members on current health and fitness issues and trends.

Pilates Instructors are responsible for supporting all members in championing happier, and healthier lives by building and nurturing relationships. They provide a positive member experience that is educational, supporting, and upholds the integrity of the Life Time Brand.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Years of Experience

• 1 year of personal training experience
• 6 months of experience in adjusting body alignment, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrel equipment

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• Certified Pilates Trainer
• CPR and AED Certified

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or other related field
