Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an energetic Pilates Instructor to support members in achieving happier, healthier lives. You will build relationships, deliver educational experiences, and uphold the Life Time Brand in a welcoming studio environment.

You will design client programs, lead private and group sessions, and promote Pilates offerings while ensuring safety and quality in every class. CPR/AED certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Pilates Trainer with reformer/tower/chair/barrel expertise.
• 1 year of personal training experience preferred.
• CPR and AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe, professional Pilates programs to help clients reach goals.
• Supervise clients during Pilates sessions for safety and effectiveness.
• Conduct initial consultations, assess goals and recommend plans.
• Instruct private and group Pilates classes.
• Promote Pilates training programs and related fitness services.
• Manage administrative tasks for each client’s plan.
• Maintain studio cleanliness and equipment safety.
• Stay current with certifications and industry trends.
• Educate members on health and fitness topics.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to members.
• Document client programming and progress on the plan.
• Support fitness floor operations and member motivation.

Pilates Instructors are responsible for supporting all members in championing happier, and healthier lives by building and nurturing relationships. They provide a positive member experience that is educational, supporting, and upholds the integrity of the Life Time Brand.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention
• Monitors and instructs clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use the equipment
• Conducts fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening and goal setting to assess and recommend Pilates training programs
• Instructs both private and group Pilates classes
• Promotes and sells Pilates training programs and classes, Group Fitness classes and Personal Training to members
• Completes all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan
• Maintains the cleanliness of the Pilates studio
• Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
• Educates members on current health and fitness issues and trends
• Ensures all members feel competent, confident, and connected by providing superior customer service through complimentary and based services/programming
• Documents all aspects of client programming
• Remains current on credentials and continuing education to advance throughout the levels program
• Provides fitness floor assistance to all members to ensure safety, provide education, and motivate members

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of personal training experience
• Experience in Pilates program design
• Certified Pilates Trainer
• Trained and Certified in Reformer, Tower, Chair and Barrels
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds
• CPR and AED Certified

Preferred Requirements

• 150 - 400 hours comprehensive Pilates Certificate (minimum education to include; Mat, Reformer, Tower, Chair)
