Job summary

Equinox in Nashville is seeking Part-time Mat Pilates and Barre Instructors to deliver the Equinox Experience in every class, adjust intensity for participants, and keep sessions on schedule.

The ideal candidate will hold a current certification, have teaching experience, CPR/AED certification, and solid knowledge of anatomy and safe modifications. Competitive benefits include a complimentary club membership and member discounts.

Qualifications

• Pilates Mat/Barre instructors must possess a current certification in their discipline.
• Experience teaching Pilates or Barre.
• Must possess and maintain CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, and modifications.
• Eagerness to learn and continue professional development.
• Friendly, vibrant and outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class.
• Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary.
• Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class.
• Ensure class begins and ends on time.
• Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum.
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing.
