Job summary

Equinox Nashville is seeking Barre & Pilates Instructors to deliver the Equinox Experience, tailor class intensity, and maintain schedule. The role requires current Pilates Mat / Barre certification, CPR/AED certification, and a friendly, outgoing demeanor.

Responsibilities include teaching classes regularly, coordinating with management on feedback and equipment, and ensuring a high‑quality member experience across sessions.

Qualifications

• Pilates Mat / Barre instructor must possess a current certification in their discipline.
• Experience teaching in group fitness.
• CPR/AED certification must be current.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy, kinesiology and safe exercise modifications.
• Willingness to ongoing professional development and education.
• Friendly, vibrant and outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to members in each class.
• Adhere to class descriptions and modify intensity for participants.
• Monitor exercise intensity throughout the class duration.
• Ensure classes start and end on time.

• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on feedback and scheduling.

Job Description

Equinox's location in Nashville, TN are currently seekingBarre & Pilates Instructors. The position entails the following responsibilities. This is not a complete description, and certain responsibilities may additionally be presented along the course of employment:

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class;
• Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary;
• Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class;
• Ensure class begins and ends on time;
• Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum;
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing;

Qualifications

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pilates Mat / Barre instructors must possess a currentcertificationin their discipline;
• Have experienceteaching;
• Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification;
• Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations;
• Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education;
• Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing
