Job summary

E Ink Corporation in Billerica, MA, is seeking a hands-on Research Engineer/chemist to develop advanced pigment materials for color electrophoretic displays, covering crystallization, finishing, and performance evaluation within display systems.

The role focuses on experimental work, laboratory procedure development, and collaboration with scientists and engineers to translate results into improved material performance for next-generation displays used worldwide.

Qualifications

BSc/ MSc in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or PhD with 2+ years' industrial pigment experience.
Practical, hands-on chemist with a track record in lab research and process development.
Experience developing, executing, and optimizing experimental procedures to solve technical problems.

Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and optimize laboratory procedures for pigment crystallization and finishing.
Investigate crystallization conditions to control crystal form and particle size distribution.
Operate and maintain laboratory pigment finishing equipment and related processing equipment.
Characterize pigments using particle size analysis, microscopy, spectroscopy, and XRD.
Record and interpret data to improve procedures and pigment performance.
Prepare technical reports and present findings to project teams.
