Responsibilities

• Maintain humane animal care and health across the barn.
• Follow farm bio-security and safety protocols at all times.
• Assist with feeding, watering and monitoring of animals per protocol.
• Record production and care documentation accurately.
• Perform routine vaccinations and injections as directed.
• Clean and sanitize facilities and equipment; power wash as required.
• Monitor pregnancy and assist with farrowing and piglet care.
• Support movement of animals between barns and departments.
• Prepare farrow rooms and assist in piglet care on day one.
• Assist in piglet fostering and castration procedures.
• Adjust heat lamps and heat mats to maintain proper temperatures.
