Job summary

Maschhoffs is seeking a Full Time Animal Caregiver at a sow farm near Pittsfield, IL. You will provide daily care to pigs, monitor health, and assist the Farm Manager in coordinating activities. The role requires attention to animal welfare and adherence to standard operating procedures.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED and at least one year in swine or leadership roles. Experience with MS Office and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in the swine industry and/or 1 years of leadership experience in any field.
• Knowledge of animal handling and barn operations.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Care for pigs daily, ensuring access to feed and water.
• Monitor health, vaccinations, injections, and record keeping.
• Maintain production records and assist Farm Manager.
• Follow SOPs and maintain clean facilities.
• Communicate department needs to Farm Manager.
