Job summary

VIP Medical Group in Kyle, Texas seeks a Pier Diem Sonographer to support venous duplex ultrasound exams, pre/post procedure work, and patient intakes. You will work across Kyle and Cedar Park locations, maintaining HIPAA standards and EMR documentation.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Medical Sonography, is a Certified Medical Sonographer, and has at least one year of experience with vascular exams. RVT/RVS preferred, with EMR proficiency and a focus on patient care.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Medical Sonography is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Sonographer.
• Certification: Certified Medical Sonographer; RVT or RVS preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems required.
• Lower extremity/vascular experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound scans, rule-out DVT scans, and post-procedure scans.
• Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment for sonography exams in accordance with patient safety protocols.
• Conduct patient medical intakes.
• Enter medical notes in the EMR system.
• Use sterile technique for procedure setup and prep patients for procedures.
• Assist during procedures.
• Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA.
• Care for ultrasound equipment and notify the office of any issues.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and healthcare team members.
