Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking staff to package bakery items for Publix stores and operate palletizing equipment. The role includes moving bowls, loading production lines with icing and toppings, and maintaining GMP-compliant hygiene practices.

Candidates must be 18+, able to lift 50+ lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment with excellent attendance. Shift work including nights and weekends is required; teamwork and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Package bakery products for Publix stores.

• Move, dump and scrape bowls and hoppers; ensure pans are ready for deposition.
• Place product on the production line and apply icing and toppings.
• Clean equipment in accordance with GMPs using industrial cleaners.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

• Packaging bakery products to be sent to Publix stores
• Operating palletizing equipment to stack containers of product on pallets
• Moving, dumping and scraping bowls and hoppers and ensuring pans are in place for product to be deposited
• Placing product on the production line and applying icing and toppings
• Cleaning equipment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with industrial strength chemicals
• Accurately completing all paperwork required by the position and
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Must demonstrate safe work habits
• Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
• Must be able to push or pull heavy equipment occasionallyMust be able to lift pans or cases with product above shoulder level frequently

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
