Job summary

BSWH McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). You will join a 16-bed unit caring for critically ill children, with responsibilities including patient assessment, care planning, and collaborating with specialists to deliver advanced pediatric care.

This full-time night shift (7P–7A) offers growth through committee involvement, ongoing education, and a commitment to family-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN license required with a background in pediatric care.
• Experience in a critical care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Texas Nursing Practice Act.
• Ability to educate patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient assessment and plan care for PICU patients.
• Create and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients, families, and staff as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
