Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care) in El Paso, Texas. This full-time position involves night shifts and direct patient care in a high-acuity pediatric unit.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, and direct care per shift, supervision of staff, and ensuring safe, cost-effective nursing care in alignment with hospital policy and safety standards. Requires RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable.

Qualifications

• EducationRequired: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
• ExperiencePreferred: Recent acute care experience.
• CertificationsRequired: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; AHA BLS, and if applicable by corporate policy for unit of hire, AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to assigned patients per shift.
• Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
• Support CNO to ensure high quality, safe nursing care and resource management.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Administer all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
• Fulfill HICS responsibilities and adhere to hospital emergency codes.
