Job summary
Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the PICU team within Inova's L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital.

Qualifications
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- Virginia RN licensure or eligible for licensure
- 1 year of ICU/ Critical Care experience
- BSN required or ASN with BSN within 5 years of start date
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting data and trends.
- Develop individualized care plans based on assessments.
- Deliver patient- and family-centered care across the continuum.
- Advocate for patients' rights and provide counseling.
- Coordinate care with multiple disciplines for transitions.
- Document all patient care activities per standards.
- Evaluate processes to improve outcomes and revise plans as needed.
- Make clinical decisions based on experience and patient population data.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to staff as a clinical resource.
