Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Pediatric ICU/CCU RN for travel assignments in California. The role supports critically ill pediatric patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and hospital staff.

You will demonstrate leadership in crisis situations, maintain ICU‑level competencies, and ensure patient growth and development needs are met while adapting to multiple facilities. Travel across Bakersfield, Torrance, and surrounding locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing in state of practice.
• 1 year recent ICU/CCU/PICU/NICU or emergency experience required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred/certification evidence.
• Ability to lead in crisis situations and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage pediatric ICU/CCU patients with multi-system illness and life‑threatening conditions.
• Demonstrate clinical competence specific to intensive care and patient growth needs.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Manager and facility team; maintain team communication.
• Display flexibility to work across units and handle frequent interruptions.

Job description

The Pediatric ICU/CCU RN is a member of the Critical CareDepartment and manages patients with multi- system failure and a variety oflife-threatening illnesses. ThePediatric ICU/CCU nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for assignedpatients and is responsible to the Clinical Manager or client facilitydesignee.

• Current RN license in good standing in state of practice
• One year recent experience in ICU, CCU, PICU, NICU oremergency medicine required
• Successful completion of Amergis Staffing Solutions testingprocess
• Prefers evidence of ACLS, PALS, NRP certification
• Shows evidence of CEU requirements for the state of practice
• Demonstrates the ability to assume a leadership role in acrisis situation
• Demonstrates clinical competence specific to intensive care
• Demonstrates the ability to work with patient growth anddevelopment needs across the specific unit of assignment
• Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrates a full range of body motion in a regularperformance of duties on a daily basis
• Must be able to work with frequent interruptions
• 1-3 years complex job related experience
• PALS, BLS, and ACLS, as required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
