Job summary

MUSC Children's Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the PICU team in Charleston, SC. The role is full-time with rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays, providing direct pediatric critical care to patients aged 0–21 years.

Requires completion of an accredited PA or NP program and current licensure or eligibility, with PACNP or APRN credentials preferred. PALS is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and licensure or eligibility as PA.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and APRN licensure eligibility.
• PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Takes comprehensive history and performs physical examinations.
• Evaluates and treats patients per clinical guidelines and exam results.
• Initiates referrals and collaborates with the PICU team and attending physicians.
• Documents care and participates in quality improvement activities.
