Job summary

The YMCA of the North Shore in Gloucester, MA is seeking an Experienced part-time Pickleball Coach. You will teach engaging pickleball classes, clinics and private lessons, while supporting leagues and workshops and ensuring a safe, positive environment for all participants.

Greet members warmly, promote attendance and act as an ambassador for the YMCA’s pickleball program. Certifications within 6 months via IPTPA or PPR are required.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of pickleball, rules, techniques and teaching best practices.
• Certification within 6 months or ongoing commitment to obtain one of IPTPA/PPR.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of pickleball, including rules, techniques, and best practices for instruction
• Pay range depends on experience, certifications, and the number of people per private lessons
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive, and approachable demeanor
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to connect effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and all areas of the community
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Must obtain certification within 6 months of hire from one of the following:
  • International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA)
  • Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR)
