Job summary

Play Academy is seeking an energetic Pickleball Instructor to lead group and private lessons for participants of all ages and skill levels at community pickleball courts in Florida. The role operates as a 1099 Independent Contractor, with compensation per class and session and responsibility for taxes and certifications.

The ideal candidate will hold USAPA certification, CPR/AED/First Aid, and demonstrate strong communication and motivational skills.

Qualifications

• Prior pickleball teaching experience preferred.
• Strong communication and motivational skills are essential.
• Ability to engage participants of all ages and skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured pickleball lessons and private sessions.
• Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and cues for safe technique.
• Create a positive, inclusive class atmosphere.
• Modify drills to accommodate varying ages, skill levels, and physical abilities.
• Ensure participant safety and proper use of equipment and courts.
• Arrive early to prepare courts and assist with cleanup after lessons.
• Track attendance and progress; communicate updates to participants and management.
