Job Description

Assist with filling and/or packaging orders in a warehouse setting. Help maintain the warehouse and inventory of products and/or customer-supplied materials.

Responsibilities

1. Pick or package a variety of printed materials or related items using various packing procedures and techniques.
2. Follow detailed procedures to perform routine packing work. Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping.
3. Perform related tasks such as placing labels on packages, putting manuals into binders, and handling boxes for final product. Ensure accurate shipping information is attached and packages are shipped according to schedule.
4. Place, arrange, mark, seal, and tag items in bundles, on pallets, and/or in containers, bins, and bulk storage.
5. Meet established productivity and quality standards.
6. Count and sort various product items.
7. Feed, remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or other in-process products to and from equipment.
8. Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. May load materials into trucks and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit, using hand tools.
9. Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas, using hand trucks, electric dollies, or other devices. May operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2. 1 or more years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment is desirable.
3. Ability to read and interpret job specifications and identify the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
4. Basic communication skills (written and verbal).
5. Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment, and general warehouse procedures.
6. Ability to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee.

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $15.96 to $19.44 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
