Job Description

Assist with filling and/or packaging orders in a warehouse setting. Help maintain the warehouse and inventory of products and/or customer supplied materials.

Responsibilities:

  1. Pick or package a variety of printed materials or related items using appropriate packing procedures and techniques.
  2. Follow detailed procedures to perform routine packing work. Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping.
  3. Perform related tasks such as labeling packages, placing manuals into binders, and handling boxes for final products. Ensure accurate shipping information is attached and packages are shipped according to schedule.
  4. Arrange, mark, seal, and tag items in bundles, on pallets, and/or in containers, bins, and bulk storage.
  5. Meet established productivity and quality standards.
  6. Count and sort various product items.
  7. Feed, remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or other in-process products to and from equipment.
  8. Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves manually. May load materials into trucks and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit, using hand tools.
  9. Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or other devices. May operate industrial trucks or electric hoists occasionally.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 or more years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications and identify correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
  • Basic communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment, and general warehouse procedures.
  • Ability to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items following operating instructions or under supervision.

The pay range for this role at the specified location is $15.96 to $19.44 per hour. The actual rate may vary based on education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location. The total compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, call-in, and standby pay.
